Software Overview

Microsoft Word for iOS is an app used to create and edit documents. You must sign in using your Microsoft Office 365 account to edit the documents. Without a subscription you can only view the documents.

Word for iOS is used to create and edit documents for personal and business use. The app supports the DOCX and DOC formats and gives you many of the same formatting capabilities of the desktop version. You can insert images, shapes, tables, charts, and equations into your document. You can also access and share your Word documents through a variety of avenues including email, OneDrive, iCloud, Dropbox, and SharePoint.

The app comes with special capabilities geared to your iPhone and iPad. You can view your document in the real layout or an easy-to-read layout designed for your mobile screen. Any edits you make to your document are reflected across all your devices through OneDrive, which allows you to continue your work you started on another device. You don't have to worry about losing your work when working on-the-go either, as the app automatically saves your document.

Word for iOS brings the industry standard software to the iOS platform. It comes with many of the familiar features of the desktop version of Word and allows users to create and edit documents on-the-go. Microsoft Word for iOS is the best iOS word processor for Office 365 subscription holders. However, if you do not have a subscription other apps such as Pages or OfficeSuite Pro would be a better option for editing your documents.
